演講人簡介：

　　趙穗生教授是 美國丹佛大學國際關學院教授，同時兼任該校中美合作中心主任。他還是《Journal of Contemporary China》創刊人和主編。其本人是全球知名的中國問題研究專家，其主要著作有：Debating Political Reform in China: Rule of Law versus Democratization (M. E. Sharpe, 2006), A Nation-State by Construction: Dynamics of Modern Chinese Nationalism (Stanford University Press, 2004), Chinese Foreign Policy: Pragmatism and Strategic Behavior (M. E. Sharpe, 2003), China and Democracy: Reconsidering the Prospects for a Democratic China (Routledge, 2000), Across the Taiwan Strait: Mainland China, Taiwan, and the Crisis of 1995-96 (Routledge, 1999).
