演講人簡介：

Dr Nicholas is currently a Senior Lecturer in Economics and the Convenor of the MA in Economics of Development at the International Institute of Social Studies, Erasmus University of Rotterdam, The Netherlands.　
He holds a PhD from the University of East Anglia, UK.　
He has extensive teaching experience, having taught in a large number of countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America, on a number of subjects in the field of economics, including global business cycles.　He is known for his early warnings on the Asian crisis (1996-8), the collapse of the NASDAQ (2000-3), and the recent global crisis (2008-9), having given numerous lectures and interviews prior to these events.
His research interests include the Macroeconomic dynamics of the global economy, financial markets, and theories of price.　He has published widely in a number of reputed international journals and has recently completed a book entitled Marx’s Theory of Price and its Modern Rivals, which is published by Macmillans.
