報告摘要:

Most studies of China’s contemporary economy overlook the impact of historical legacies.This presentation shows how historical circumstances influenced major elements of China’s reform-era development and discusses areas where injecting historical perspectives may deepen the analysis of current economic issues. 


作者簡介: 
Thomas G. Rawski, Professor of Economics and History of University of Pittsburgh`s .He got his Ph.D. From Harvard University and joined the University of Pittsburgh`s faculty in 1985 after fourteen years at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on the nature and implications of recent developments and long-term changes in the economy of China. His resent papers include“Will Investment Behavior Constrain China`s Growth?”,“What’s Happening to China’s GDP Statistics”,“Recent Developments in China`s Labor Economy”, and so on.
