近日，我院鄺仲弘副教授作為通訊作者的合作論文“Optimal Tree Contest Design and Winner-Take-All”在博弈論頂級期刊Games and Economic Behavior上正式發(fā)表，這是鄺仲弘副教授在該期刊上發(fā)表的第二篇論文。

內(nèi)容摘要：

This paper investigates the effort-maximizing design of multi-stage contests with tree-like architectures, focusing on both contest architecture and prize structure. Given the architecture, we show that the whole budget should be assigned to a single match. This match must be the final if the architecture is symmetric. Moreover, the winner-take-all rule proves to be optimal if the contest organizer can jointly design the architecture and prize structure. To determine the optimal contest architecture, we use dynamic programming and induction to provide a tight upper bound for the optimized total effort level. Our new approach extends the findings of Gradstein and Konrad (1999), offering new insights into how the optimal architecture hinges on the noise level of matches.

本文研究了樹狀結(jié)構(gòu)多階段競賽的投入最大化設(shè)計(jì)問題，重點(diǎn)關(guān)注競賽架構(gòu)與獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)結(jié)構(gòu)的協(xié)同優(yōu)化。在給定競賽架構(gòu)下，研究表明應(yīng)將全部預(yù)算集中分配給單場比賽。當(dāng)競賽架構(gòu)對稱時(shí)，該比賽一定是最終決賽。如果允許競賽組織者聯(lián)合設(shè)計(jì)架構(gòu)與獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)結(jié)構(gòu)，"贏者通吃"規(guī)則一定是最優(yōu)的。為進(jìn)一步確定最優(yōu)競賽架構(gòu)，本研究運(yùn)用動(dòng)態(tài)規(guī)劃與數(shù)學(xué)歸納法，為優(yōu)化后的總投入水平提供了一個(gè)緊上界。本文的新方法拓展了Gradstein和Konrad（1999）的經(jīng)典研究，揭示了最優(yōu)架構(gòu)對競賽噪聲水平的動(dòng)態(tài)依存關(guān)系，為競賽理論提供了新的見解。

作者簡介：

鄺仲弘，中國人民大學(xué)經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院副教授。2015年和2020年分別于清華大學(xué)獲得學(xué)士學(xué)位和博士學(xué)位，畢業(yè)后至今就職于中國人民大學(xué)經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院。研究方向是微觀經(jīng)濟(jì)理論和數(shù)字經(jīng)濟(jì)，重點(diǎn)關(guān)注競賽設(shè)計(jì)和信息設(shè)計(jì)，研究成果發(fā)表在Journal of Economic Theory和Games and Economic Behavior（2篇）等國際期刊上，主持國家自然科學(xué)基金面上項(xiàng)目和青年項(xiàng)目，擔(dān)任中國信息經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)會(huì)理事、CCF計(jì)算經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)專業(yè)委員會(huì)執(zhí)行委員和多個(gè)UTD24期刊的審稿人。擔(dān)任數(shù)字經(jīng)濟(jì)系列教材《平臺(tái)經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)》的副主編。作為導(dǎo)師所指導(dǎo)的學(xué)生曾獲吳玉章獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金（中國人民大學(xué)學(xué)生最高榮譽(yù)）。
