演講人簡介：

　　John Knight先生是著名的勞動經濟學家。他是牛津大學經濟學資深教授，并曾擔任牛津大學經濟學系主任。Knight教授的研究興趣包括勞動力市場，收入分配，人力資源等。John Knight特別關注發展中國家的勞動力市場，他是牛津大學非洲經濟研究中心的創立人之一，并擔任英國政府、非洲開發銀行、世界銀行、聯合國發展計劃署等政府機構和國際組織的咨詢顧問。John Knight教授多年以來對中國的發展懷有濃厚興趣，并傾注熱情。他與多名中國經濟學家開展密切合作，對中國的經濟改革獻言獻策。2005年他憑借《中國走向勞動力市場》一書榮獲Richard A. Lester獎。1995年至1999年，他曾擔任中國勞動保障部研究顧問。
